Raines has maintained a family-oriented culture that believes in building relationships with our associates, with our partners and within the communities where we operate.Essential Job FunctionsMaintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all timesMeet or exceed budgeted RevPAR goalsAccurately forecast revenues for the following monthAnalyze short-term fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenuesPrepare sales and/or marketing plan for the following yearEnsure front desk agents are familiar about all sales programs and key accountsProduce sales department reports in a timely mannerKnow which market segments produce effective business for the property and how to balance them to maximize revenues. Perform displacement analysis for groups or accounts as neededKnow SWOT of property and competitive setRead and interpret STR results weekly and monthlyIdentify revenue opportunities and work to secure business from themDemonstrate commitment to superior guest service through personal response to guest needsConduct site visits, coordinating with all departments for show roomsInteract with outside contacts:Guests - to ensure their total satisfactionOwners and/or Principals - regarding revenue updates and current issuesVendors - to resolve any vendor performance issues, etc.Regulatory agencies - regarding safety and compliance mattersOther contacts as needed (Professional organizations, community groups, local media)Any and all other duties as assignedEducationHigh school education/GED.ExperienceMinimum one year sales experience in hospitality or two years of progressive experience in a hotel environmentProficient in Microsoft Office or similar computer applicationHours requiredScheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs.Travel:Up to 50% travel requirement.Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportationPhysical: Frequent sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, products and equipment. Using keyboards and other office computer equipment. Occasionally push, pull and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must observe details at close range. Other: Must speak English fluently. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Mathematical skills include basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are often used.
