What You'll Do As The Bookkeeper:

  • Master the Billing Process: Take charge of billing, accounts receivable, and payable, ensuring every invoice, payment, and collection is processed with accuracy and speed.
  • Payroll Precision: Oversee payroll processing, including wage calculations, tax deductions, and compliance with regulations, ensuring our team is paid accurately and on time.
  • Ledger Leadership: Maintain our general ledger by meticulously recording all financial transactions, keeping everything in line with company policies.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts and bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies to keep our financials in top shape.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate insightful financial reports and support our team with in-depth financial analysis as needed.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with internal departments to address and resolve any accounting-related issues or inquiries.
  • Software Savvy: Utilize AJera, our specialized accounting software for architecture, engineering, and consulting firms, to streamline and enhance our financial processes.
  • Audit Support: Provide essential support during audits and help implement audit recommendations to ensure our financial integrity.

Requirement for the Bookkeeper position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ plus years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a CONSTRUCTION or engineering company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations

Competitive salary for the Bookkeeper position: $24 - $29 per hour (DOE) Non-Remote Position
