Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper/HR Representative. This hybrid role requires proficiency in bookkeeping tasks as well as the ability to handle various human resources responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with integrity.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

Bookkeeping Skills:

  1. Financial Record Keeping: Ability to accurately record financial transactions and maintain organized records.
  2. Accounting Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and generate financial reports.
  3. Bank Reconciliation: Skill in reconciling bank statements and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  4. Financial Reporting: Capability to prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  5. Budget Management: Understanding of budgeting processes and ability to assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  6. Payroll Processing: Knowledge of payroll procedures and experience in processing payroll accurately and on time.

Human Resources Skills:

  1. Employee Onboarding: Skill in facilitating the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation programs and paperwork.
  2. Record Keeping: Proficiency in maintaining employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  3. HR Compliance: Understanding of labor laws and regulations and ability to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and management regarding HR-related matters.
  5. Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  6. Problem-Solving: Capability to address employee queries and resolve HR-related issues effectively.
  7. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in HR records and financial transactions.

  1. Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  2. Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines for both bookkeeping and HR tasks.

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping:

  1. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software.
  2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  3. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  4. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  5. Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
  6. Handle payroll processing and ensure timely payment of employees.

Human Resources:

  1. Onboard new employees and facilitate orientation programs.
  2. Maintain employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  3. Address employee queries regarding HR-related issues.
  4. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
