**Overview**
Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the focus of the Training Specialist will be to train and evaluate new Delivery Teammates, modifying SOPs as the business evolves, and work with training champions to ensure all follow up training with DTs is completed.
The purpose of this role is to conduct end to end operational training in line with Sobeys Inc. workplace guidelines and policies to ensure all Delivery Teammates are competent, ready to serve customers in Voila fashion, and are safe on the roadways representing Voila appropriately.
This individual will be instrumental in driving the standards as they demonstrate exceptional work ethic and a positive demeanor in line with Voila by Sobeys company core values. **Job Description**
Focus on training that demonstrates high quality performance, dedication to safety, consistency and accuracy delivered in a customer focused way.
Develop SOPs and training aids to assist/elevate the training program as the needs of the business dictates.
Provide in class and yard/road training to ensure Delivery Teammates are comfortable diving the vans in a safe manner
Provide in class Orientation and facilitate training for Health and Safety and Food Safety to all new and existing teammates.
Provide clear communication between relevant departments when required including Shunt and Fleet team
Ensure all team members follow and demonstrate Sobeys workplace standards, practices and training content in a consistent manner.
Accurately document and track new hire competency through performance evaluations and training check list(s)
Be a member of a dynamic team to refine and improve training procedures
Complete appropriate documentation in a confidential manner
In conjunction with the Health and Safety and Delivery Operations Management, work dynamically to ensure risk assessments, safe working systems, procedures and policies are in place
Provide feedback to the Head of Delivery and Delivery Managers, in order to aid the development of new and existing team members.
**Job Requirements**
Technical Skills:
Bilingual spoken and written in French and English
Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel is considered an asset.
