Own the design of physical fulfillment and distribution centers around the nation to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network through site layout, equipment specification, material flow, process design, and intellectual property considerations. Innovate with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and mechatronics. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods. Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects. Facilitate lean events and audit for compliance for Lean / 5S. Develop and implement warehouse safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards. Job Requirements Job entails working with and requires a master’s degree in industrial engineering or relevant field. Candidates must have 1 year of professional experience in: Preparing layout updates using AutoCAD Engineering design experience for materials handling projects Reviewing engineering drawings Reviewing supplier proposals and project scope negotiation Analyzing and selecting new technologies for warehouse use on efficiency, safety, and cost Employers will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Employers will accept a master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in one of the requisite fields followed by 1 year of experience in the position of Industrial Engineer or related.
