Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, this individual will be responsible for Corrective/Preventive Action system and Process Improvement activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assists in Corrective/Preventive Action systems.
  • Assists in the evaluation of processes, sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques.
  • Works with Engineering on new products development to establish QC standards, testing and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyzes production yield.
  • Recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
  • Formulates or helps formulate quality assurance procedures.
  • Evaluates, recommends and facilitates lean activities for process improvement.
  • Typically generates reports using computer skills and distributes those reports to various users in the organization, customers and/or suppliers.
  • Collects, organizes, monitors and distributes information related to quality and process improvement functions, possibly including but not limited to compliance to and documentation of quality management standards, such as ISO 9001.
  • Perform other duties as necessary when directed to do so to support business needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 2 Year minimum experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control environment, degree in Engineering or Mathematical Sciences is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
  • Wilcox is a U.S. government defense contractor, and this position requires access to export-controlled technology. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. government-controlled technology prior to beginning work.
