Seattle, United States EPIP Full time

The Momentum Fellowship is a program offered through Philanthropy Northwest to develop a pipeline of leaders of color and other underrepresented groups in philanthropy. This leadership development program works with new and current practitioners in philanthropy to develop leadership skills; explores issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in grantmaking; and engages in career development activities. This is all done while fellows work in professional positions in foundations across the Northwest. Along with the day-to-day functions of the job, fellows participate in cohort retreats throughout the two years, as well as monthly cohort calls, professional coaching, and networking opportunities. ABOUT THE MARGUERITE CASEY FOUNDATION At Marguerite Casey Foundation, we believe no family should live in poverty. We invest in grassroots activism that builds the power and voice of families. Our aim is to nurture a national family-led movement that creates a more just and equitable society. Strategically, the Foundation works to: Engage families and communities. We trust in families and put real resources behind families leading change in their communities. Families have the capacity and understanding of their issues to develop solutions to their problems. Invest in local leadership. We nurture local leadership and creativity, so communities can design their own solutions. Invest for the long term. Meaningful social change takes time. The Foundation provides multiyear grants for general operating support, which allows organizations to build infrastructure. Use advocacy and communications to challenge how people think and talk about poverty and explore solutions to issues affecting low-income people in a money-oriented culture. Since Marguerite Casey Foundation was created in 2001, our grantees have engaged more than 1.5 million adult and youth community members. They have achieved meaningful victories at the neighborhood, city, state, regional, and national levels to improve the well-being of all of America’s families. We’ve seen that when we come together to support family- and community-led solutions, real change is possible. THE JOB Marguerite Casey Foundation is seeking a Social Media Fellow.
