We are seeking a highly skilled Family Support Specialist to join our team at the Family Access Center. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent time management abilities, and knowledge of community resources.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-home intervention services to families utilizing evidence-based practices to address problems and strengthen relationships.
  • Serve as a resource, provider, and advocate for families, promoting child welfare and well-being.
  • Provide case management support under contractual requirements, utilizing collaborative documentation.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with community partners, including government agencies, medical providers, and educational institutions.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions, such as Solution-Based Casework and SafeCare, to support families and individuals.
  • Ensure professionalism through role modeling and respect, maintaining a high level of direct contact with families as per program requirements.
  • Utilize own vehicle for work-related travel and transportation, providing services in the community or at family homes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in human services or a related field, plus two years of experience in human services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of community resources and service providers in the service area.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with on-call availability as needed to respond to crises.
