JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Technical Analyst is vital for the successful implementation, support, and continuous improvement of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across Viega's US-based plants. This position plays a key role in ensuring our MES initiatives are effectively integrated and supported, aligning with both global strategies and local operational needs. This position documents and communicates technical requirements, coordinating with various international IT and consulting teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Responsibilities
- Acts as a regional lead in the comprehensive management of MES applications, providing expertise and assistance on a global scale to ensure holistic integration and alignment across all regions.
- Conducts global process analyses and optimizations in close collaboration with various business departments, focusing on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in line with international standards while ensuring regional needs and contributions are integrated.
- Collaborates on the design and implementation of global business processes in MES systems, including independent customization and close coordination with developers worldwide, with a focus on regional adaptation and global consistency.
- Provides global user support through 1st and 2nd level support, ensuring consistent and effective use of MES systems across all regions, while incorporating regional feedback and requirements.
- Develops, maintains, and updates global process documentation, such as SOPs, work instructions, and process maps, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all relevant stakeholders.
- Conducts comprehensive process audits, identify improvement areas, and ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Collaborates with international teams to identify and optimize process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Analyzes global process performance metrics and KPIs, driving continuous improvement across multiple regions.
- Serves as a subject matter expert, offering training, support, and acting as the primary contact for process-related queries.
- Works with stakeholders to develop and implement universally applicable process-related policies and guidelines.
- Fosters a culture of process excellence and continuous improvement, encouraging a global mindset among team members.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
- Will be required to travel up to 20% of the time
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel, to include proficiency with functionality that includes: Power Query, BW/AFO and macros
- Advanced knowledge of PowerBI & Snowflake (data consolidation, visualization)
- Deep understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP required)
- Familiarity with Change Management: Understanding of change management principles and practices, crucial for guiding and facilitating changes in global processes and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience in MES support or a similar position required.
- Proven experience with MES applications and OPC systems, including successful implementations and troubleshooting
- Work experience with SAP Production Planning required
- Experience working for a manufacturing company/within a manufacturing environment
- OPC Certification, MES Certification, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL Certification, and/or Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred
- German language proficiency strongly preferred, given the role's likely interaction with German-speaking stakeholders or regions
Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $85,000to $115,000annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus or Commission: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
