Banner - University Medicine Family Medicine Clinic takes pride in the excellent care patients receive by combining academic training with faculty physicians. The Center’s care includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, obstetrics/gynecology and geriatrics. We provide preventive care and manage chronic diseases. Family-centered maternity care is unique to our practice. We provide prenatal care, delivery, and newborn care for your baby. The office features 22 exam rooms with specialty areas for colposcopy, IUD insertions and removals, circumcision, skin procedures, joint injections, osteopathic manipulation, toenail removals and counseling.
As an Administrative Medical Assistant on this team, you will be an integral part of the patient's Banner experience looking to provide each person with the best customer service and patient care. You will be performing patient outreach, managing quality measures, 1:1 meetings with doctors, scheduling patients for in office appointments, collecting data, placing standing orders, presenting at monthly staff meetings and offering suggestions for workflows to improve patient quality scores. Experience performing patient outreach and working independently is a must.
Uncertified Medical Assistants will be considered and will have 12 months to become nationally certified once employment begins. Uncertified Medical Assistants will have access to Medical Assistant certification study material and Banner will pay for the cost of certification. A passing score would result in a pay increase due to an MA’s newly certified status.

This is a full time (40 hours/week), day shift position: Monday - Friday 8:00A-5:00. This position is responsible for performing administrative tasks (indirect care) that support the care team in providing direct medical care. This position utilizes the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and external resources or tools to provide a complete assessment of the patient’s health status, which includes identifying care gaps prior to the patient encounter. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and communication skills to assure that patients get the indicated care when and where they need and want it, in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. Patient contact via telephone is a critical component of this position, highlighting the medical background and communication skills necessary.
