**Purpose**:
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all administrative and operational functions within designated market, reporting to the Regional or Market President. In collaboration with medical leadership, regional leadership, and enterprise leadership, the VP of Operations has executive responsibility for the planning, operations, and execution of organizational and regional short
- and long-term strategies that support all aspects of patient care delivery, population health, and value-based care functions within designated market to achieve market specific population and financial targets.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Consistent with organizational core values and operating principles, and in collaboration with medical leadership partners, sets expectations and holds accountabilities for all operations across assigned market
- Cultivates and maintains strong collaborative professional relations with business partners, creating an operating environment in which policies, personnel, systems, and processes are systematic, aligned, and conducive to cost effective value-based operations
- In collaboration with Market President and VP of Medical Affairs develops market level strategies to promote profitable growth, new services, enhanced profitability, and clinical excellence.
- Strategizes, develops, and leads the implementation of effective processes to optimize operational efficiency and growth of programs within the market focused on population health, medical risk adjustment, quality, affiliate engagement, and patient engagement.
- Continuously identifies areas for improvement and driving change initiatives to completion to improve overall operations and financial outcomes.
- Drives execution of new programs via partnership with internal and external partners/stakeholders to ensure successful engagement and implementation of population health activities and programs
- Monitors on-going financial and operational performance analyzing operational metrics, statistics, and support system information to identify variances and trends, tracking key KPIs that inform operational and strategic decision making
- Coordinates the development, implementation and communication of policies and procedures to achieve established goals, with appropriate input from others in an inclusive manner.
- Evaluates and determines staffing needs to address operational, clinical, and social need of market membership, including overseeing hiring, development, and cross-training of staff to ensure available capabilities in meeting current and anticipated delivery needs.
- Administers corporate development initiatives, capital project development, ancillary services, and programs consistent with organizational policy and business objectives.
- Oversees operational aspects of growth initiatives, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and market expansion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in management role in healthcare setting
- Previous outpatient/clinic leadership experience
- Experience with Primary Care

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Master's degree in business/health or commensurate knowledge and experience base
- Experience in Medicare Advantage risk adjustment and alternative payment model programs
- Deep understanding of full spectrum of reimbursement models (Fee-For-Service, Value-Based-Care Partial
- and Full-Risk, and Capitation)
- Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite
