**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pastoral Leadership: Assist the College Pastor in providing pastoral leadership and pastoral care to the student body.
- Program Development: Assist in the development, execution, and oversight of all Office of Spiritual Life programming at Eastern Nazarene College.
- Chapel: Assist in the planning and execution of all elements of weekly Chapel.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to integrate spiritual formation into all areas of campus life.
- Advisor: Provide insight, feedback, and analysis to the College Pastor about all elements related to spiritual life and the spiritual dynamic on campus.
- Student Engagement: Facilitate student involvement in all spiritual life events and programming.
- Summer Ministry: Coordinate with relevant departments and leaders in shaping the vision, selection, and training for the summer ministry program.
- Evaluation and Assessment: Implement assessment tools to measure the success of spiritual life activities and programming.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred. Degrees in Divinity, Theology, Spiritual Formation or ministry related fields strongly preferred
- Demonstrate an active relationship with Christ as expressed in faith and service and express a philosophy of Christian higher education consistent with the college’s Wesleyan tradition.
- Must have an understanding of, and experience working with, the developmental and life issues of traditional-aged college students (18-23) as well as students in adult and graduate programs.
- Requires strong skills/gifts in preaching, teaching, and pastoral or ministry leadership evidenced by 3-5 years of ministry experience. Ministry within a higher education context preferred.
- Experience ministering in an urban and/or multicultural setting.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication.
