About Us:
Embrace Life Inc., provides services and support to individuals who have developmental disabilities in our community. We have various locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan and surrounding areas. At Embrace Life we believe in seeing our Members as individuals, connecting them with society, and helping them to become self-sufficient.

We are currently seeking individuals to fill our East Valley Teen location on the corner of Elliot and Alma School Road.

**About the role**:
The Direct Support Professionals support Developmentally Disabled Individuals with life/social skills, and personal goals. The Direct Support Professional will facilitate this by providing guidance and support for adults and children in Day Time Adult/Teen programs. Embrace Life is seeking people who are committed to teamwork, collaboration, and inclusiveness.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will assist in accomplishing these goals by working with others on a team, assisting with basic hygiene and activities of daily living skills, attending community outings, and teaching skills and qualities to improve independence for our Members.

**Summary and Responsibilities**
- Must have:

- Optimistic demeanor towards coworkers and Members.
- Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and be coachable.
- Will:

- Maintain proper communication with staff superiors and peers.
- Attain and demonstrate basic knowledge and skills of proper medication administration to Members.
- Accurately document and track Member goal progression.
- Transport Members to and from various locations throughout the valley and surrounding areas.
- Assist Members with navigating behavior challenges.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Agency and DDD policies and procedures.
- Perform other job duties, as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- A least 21 years of age.
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Must obtain Arizona State Level One Fingerprint Clearance.
- Must acquire CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support Certifications within 60 days of employment.
- A clean 39-month MVD report AND a Valid Driver License.

**Our current availability**

**All positions are Monday through Friday, with no weekends**.

**Flexible schedules available and flexibility to work all day Monday - Friday during Summer break preferred.**

Beginning shift 11:30 A.M.* to 5:00 P.M.

Summer Hours: 8:00am -3:00pm

**Start times may vary**

Pay: $15.00 per hour
