Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at Sevita. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home or clinic setting.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and self-advocacy.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
