**Location**:Taconic Biosciences is seeking a full-time Support Services Technician to join our dedicated Central Processing Area team at the Germantown, NY site.

**The Pay Range**: $20.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.

**The Schedule**: Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with a Monday to Thursday shift, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, granting you a refreshing three-day weekend every week

**The Role**:
As a Support Services Technician in our Central Processing Area (CPA), you will play a vital role in supporting our animal production needs through a variety of cleaning, sterilizing, transporting, and processing procedures. You will work closely with the team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, with opportunities to cross-train in different areas for a well-rounded experience.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Operating autoclaves to sterilize assorted barrier supplies.
- Operating forklift to move products and equipment to and from various locations.
- Strategically process loads per delivery schedule to meet deadlines.
- Load and unload autoclaves using pallet jack.
- Move containers using pallet jack or forklift.
- Assist in barrier start up.
- Process assorted barrier laundry.
- Load assorted barrier supplies into autoclavable containers.
- Load feed containers.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience or equivalent training.
- Forklift and electric pallet jack experience a plus, but we will certify you
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes (training provided).
- Strong problem-solving abilities to tackle challenges as they arise.

**Physical Requirements & Work Environment**:

- Expect a physically demanding role, involving tasks such as lifting items up to 75 pounds, climbing, crouching, and crawling.
- Utilization of chemicals and heavy machinery, coupled with protective measures, is routine.
- While the role presents occupational hazards, our comprehensive safety protocols ensure your well-being.
- Expect a variety of working conditions, from exposure to temperature extremes and outdoor weather to occasional strong odors and noise levels.
