**Position Title**: Medical Assistant

**Location**: Escondido Internal Medicine

**Employment Type**: Full Time

**Typical Work Schedule**: Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm

**Hourly Range**: $20.00-$22.00 (based on level of experience.)

**About Us**:
Escondido Internal Medicine is a distinguished internal medicine practice in Escondido, led by two dedicated physicians. We are committed to providing exceptional care and fostering a supportive work environment.

**Essential Functions**:

- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention as instructed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, sanitation regulations, and infection control protocols.
- Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with professionalism, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as managing medical supplies inventory and handling patient correspondence.

**Competencies & Success Factors**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certificate is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing patient records and clinical tasks.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Ability to work overtime.
