Role Summary
The Lead Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the healthcare team under the guidance of the designated medical provider or supervisory staff. This position is integral to delivering direct patient care and maintaining a professional environment that prioritizes patient confidentiality and quality service.

- Foster collaborative relationships with staff, clients, and the community.
- Contribute to team objectives and departmental goals.
Team Development
As a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring new Medical Assistants, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties. You will collaborate with nursing staff to facilitate training and oversee the skill development of new hires.
Operational Management
In this role, you will oversee patient flow in the back office, adjusting daily assignments to ensure optimal coverage. You will manage the scheduling of Medical Assistants and monitor task completion to maintain high standards of care.
Compliance and Safety
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain current knowledge of relevant policies. Ensure the privacy of patient information and comply with corporate integrity regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical assistant role.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Additional Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records.
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Compensation: $34.18/hr, based on experience.
