**Duties**:
U.S. Secret Service is seeking retired (CSRS/FERS) individuals to support our integrated mission and immediately impart their knowledge and experience to the current workforce. If re-employed under a Dual Compensation Hiring Authority with an OPM-approved salary offset waiver granted to the Secret Service, annuitants are able to earn their full salary and their full annuity without penalty, The USSS employs retirees under the Dual Compensation Hiring Authority described below:

Hired with the OPM Dual Comp Authority; annuitants can:

- Earn full annuity and full Federal salary.
- Earn annual and sick leave (not applicable for an intermittent work schedule)
- Full-time, part-time, or intermittent work schedules available.
- Receive overtime (on a full schedule).
- New hires under this authority will be offered a 4-year term appointment non-status appointment in the competitive service.

The selectee will serve as a Program Analyst (Data Analytics) in the Benefits and Payroll Division OR the Business Solutions Division. Typical work assignments include:

- Consulting with stakeholders and customers to identify the appropriate data, methodological approaches, and designs. Translating complex concepts, findings, and limitations into concise plain language and tying findings and conclusions to the agency's mission, original problem statement, and team objectives.
- Researching and designing presentations and interpretations of analytical outputs.
- Translating the results of analysis into clear, actionable communications that equip Agency decisionmakers with information needed to make informed, data-driven decisions about digital product development and IT strategies.
- Serving as a resource leader to Federal and contractor staff on implementing, managing, tracking, and evaluating large scale and extremely complete data analysis projects and their associated requirements and risk.

If selected for this position, you will be required to:

- Submit to a drug test and credit check prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Obtain and maintain a top secret Tier 5 clearance.

**Qualifications**:
**You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level preforming duties such as**:

- Solving complex data management issues such as data interface and storage; requiring modeling; data backup and recovery; data dictionaries and warehousing; data mining; data disposal; and data standardization processes;
- Consulting with stakeholders and customers to identify the appropriate data; methodological approach; and design; **AND**:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
