**Qualifications**

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training or experience.
- Six years' progressively responsible experience to include compliance and supervisory experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Experience in sponsored research projects management and/or accounting.
- Experience within the A&M System or other university setting.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work well under constraints of deadlines and on projects with short turn-around.

**Responsibilities**
- **Research Reporting
- **Serves as the primary research reporting officer of the University responsible for all external research reports and data surveys. Serves as the primary contact and approver for internal and external requests regarding research activities, including research awards and expenditures, metrics for strategic plans and objectives, sponsor identification, researcher data, research space, and project information. Responsible for documenting and reporting of sponsored project proposals and awards. Conducts and oversees analyses and evaluation of research expenditures, award information, etc. Assists with overseeing the development of statistical reports, produces, maintains and distributes statistical reports, benchmarks, and metric strategic plans and objectives. Responsible for all external research reports and data surveys including the NSF Higher Education Research and Development Report, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Research Expenditure report, the NSF Facilities and Space survey, and information for the Legislative Annual Request for research data regarding research targets and performance and performance measures in the area of research. Serves as the primary contact and approver for internal and external requests regarding research activities, including research awards and expenditures, metrics for strategic plans and objectives, sponsor identification, researcher data, research space, and project information assigning tasks and responsibilities, assessing the request, determining sources of data, and providing strategies for the efficient and effective production of the report and preparation of the report that provide accurate and valid information. Certifies that the data is valid and accurate and submits officially for the University. Liaise with TAMU agencies, TAMU branch campuses, Texas A&M Research Foundation, A&M Foundation, Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Office of Institutional Studies and Planning, and various other internal and external entities for reports involving research data maintained in other offices. Performs other duties as assigned.
- **Quality Assurance
- **Assists with quality assurance for designated functional area. Assists with collection and analysis of data to monitor and evaluate the scope and effectiveness of programs and services within functional area. Assists with reports, analysis, and surveys for the executive leadership to identify and resolve process inadequacies.
- **Staff Supervision and Training**:

- Assists in evaluating and recommending staffing requirements for functional area. Trains new staff and provides ongoing training for existing employees. Supervises assigned staff.
- **Presentations / Outreach
- **Plans and coordinates outreach efforts to members', faculty, and staff. Prepares presentations and provides training in support of outreach activities. Helps represent Sponsored Research Services to other System members, committees, principal investigators, and outsid
