The Michaels Organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Director to join our team. As a key member of our residential staff, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, support, and management to students and residents of our assigned apartment community.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide guidance, direction, and support to residents, ensuring a positive and inclusive living environment.
- Community Development: Work with management to create and maintain a resident community that fosters a sense of belonging and promotes student success.
- Training and Supervision: Select, train, and supervise Community Assistants, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent support to residents.
- Administrative and Operational Support: Assist with move-in and move-out preparations, including administrative, operations, and maintenance tasks.
- Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution: Interpret University rules, regulations, and policies, and conduct informal resolution conferences with students involved in alleged violations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain all required documentation for University officials and management, including student conduct or concerns onsite.
- Experience: Demonstrates strong leadership skills and social skills to provide an inclusive environment for students. Experience working with students in a residential setting is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working with college students in a residential setting is preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates commitment to diversity and social justice. Knowledgeable in managing others and campus housing operations. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.
