We are seeking an exceptional Fleet Claims Associate to join our mission to unlock the full carbon benefit of electric vehicles (EVs) and reduce a gigaton of carbon emissions. Hive’s Fleet Operations team delivers exceptional customer experiences and ensures the preparation and readiness of our EVs. As the Claims Associate, you will be involved with Hive’s vehicle claims support, tracking, and reporting processes. The ideal Claims Associate has experience with customer service/support, great communication skills, strong organizational skills within computer-based tools (CRM, spreadsheets, etc), and a good sense for identifying inefficient practices. This role will report to the Fleet Claims Manager. As an early member of our team, this position offers an excellent opportunity for rapid professional growth as you earn responsibility in claims and other fleet support functions. We are looking for the next wave of leaders to help take our company to the next level.

**About the Role**
- Assist Hive’s internal claims process including claims support, tracking, and reporting.
- Communicate with Hive’s members who have been involved in incidents, collecting information and providing support.
- Liaise with external partners at insurance carriers, transportation providers, and vehicle repair facilities to guide Hive EVs back to productive use in our fleet in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Support the design, development, and improvement of our claims management processes and systems, including building a library of communication templates for all key customer touch points.
- Provide timely and accurate review and reporting of critical insurance and claim information to internal and external partners.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve the Hive Member experience while involved in the claims process
- Have a comprehensive understanding of Hive’s business as a whole and the implications of your activity and decisions on the success of the business.

**About you**
- A champion of EVs and their immediate impact on the environment
- Located in Los Angeles and willing to work in-person.
- 1+ years in an operational role, such as customer support or fleet operations.
- Proficient at using computer based systems and tools
- Extensive knowledge and comfort with customer communication and ticketing/CRM platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to understand members’ needs and suggest the right course of action.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, a much needed tool for anyone in a high-paced, start-up environment.
- Ability to multitask between the competing priorities of new claims and existing claim resolution.
- Data driven and analytical minded, with the ability to digest and translate information into actionable goals.
- Enjoy entrepreneurial environments and the rapidly changing pace that comes with it.
- Willing to work occasional weekend hours (with advance notice).

**Preferred** **requirements**
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, easily able to follow an SOP but also capable of out-of-the-box solutions for things that aren’t in the SOP.
- Conversational in Spanish
- Military experience is a plus.
- Start up experience is a plus.
