ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, Commercial Effectiveness for the Gene Therapy, Hemophilia and Rare Endocrine portfolio will be responsible for leading insights generation and innovative strategy development to maximize the business impact of our customer facing commercial colleagues while building the customer facing strategy for our future Rare portfolio. This role will be the lead for strategic planning by providing analytic and strategic support and optimizing field force deployment and business planning - this will include the current in-line products and therapeutic areas as well future launch assets (Rare Hemophilia, Hemophilia GTx, and DMD). Additionally, this colleague will be a lead/coordinating stakeholder in data management, process and implementation for the commercial customer facing functions for their Rare Disease Therapeutic Areas. The colleague will join a distinctive function with a demonstrated record of preparing colleagues for promoted opportunities across various functions, e.g., sales leadership, account management leadership, marketing, commercial operations, advanced analytics.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities to help the Rare Disease US organization achieve aggressive patient impact and revenue targets. S/he will report directly to the Specialty Care CE Lead and collaborate closely with VP and National Sales leads, brand commercial leads, sales, account management, payer, Medical, corporate affairs, legal, finance, external third-party vendors, operations and digital.

**This is an individual contributor role.

Key responsibilities include:
Lead Rare Endocrine & Hemophilia sales strategy:

- Lead scorecard review with Rare Disease sales and marketing leaders at regular business review discussions to track performance and share best practices and key insights.
- Partner with RD cross-functional partners and Commercial Analytics (CMO) colleagues to share and align on insights, strategies, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities and gaps in strategy/ tactical execution, develop and implement solutions via frequent interactions with field-based colleagues, brand team leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Develop a Rare Disease partnership & PFE collective advantage with learnings to enhance our organizational effectiveness aligned to our Purpose Blueprint 2.0

Lead Long-acting growth hormone (Ngenla), hemophilia, and gene therapy (GTx) sales, key account and commercial model planning:

- Partner with the US cross-functional team to identify novel go-to-market strategy and new capabilities required for launch success in both growth hormone and gene therapy areas.
- Develop optimal deployment strategy for, reps and other customer-facing roles across the unique Rare Disease alliance.
- Evaluate early learnings into go-to-market strategy and recommend revised approaches to benefit ongoing brand performance.
- Develop Launch Excellence playbook with learnings from recent internal and external launches to improve our ongoing organizational readiness for both upcoming launches.

Optimize field force deployment:

- Partner with CE team lead to facilitate cross-functional teams to assess, design and implement deployment solutions aligned to operating plan and brand strategic priorities.
- Develop tools and resources for leaders to optimize deployment based on local market dynamics, vacancies, and portfolio changes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to drive innovation in our go-to-market model (structure, roles, technology and/or capabilities).

Project Management:

- Plan, direct and coordinate new and ongoing projects to ensure on-time completions within budget and successful deployment.
- Connect granular task to longer-term strategic initiatives for greater RD.
- Serve as a key liaison between leadership, vendors and key stakeholders to accelerate project success.
- Innovate and bring forward potential solutions to unmet, strategic needs across RD functions.

Data Management/Stewardship and Operational Effectiveness:

- Manage and assist data procurement and CE processing budget ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Partner with ISE/Operations/Digital/GRWD/ to manage data vendors, metric & business rule alignment, reporting governance and platform management.
- Lead and/or assist end to end process facilitation and optimization of targeting/deployment, training, IC, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS Degree required. MBA or other advanced professional degree (e.g., PhD, MD, JD) preferred.
- 10 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, ormedical marketing/sales/consulting experience with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, broader trends in healthcare landscape and economics.
- 2+ years of commercial analytical experience including broad background in consulting,
