**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As the Vice President will be a member of a high-impact team responsible for accelerating and transforming Chase’s business. This is a highly-visible position and will be responsible for supporting individuals responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing new transactions.

The Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions will report to the Head of Investments and M&A in the Chase Corporate Development unit. You will be an integral member of this Corporate Development team, which drives all phases sourcing, executing and overseeing strategic acquisitions and investments at Chase.

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**:

- Selectively manage investments in companies
- Strong written & verbal communication skills; Be highly adept in Powerpoint / Excel skills and prior experience in developing board-level materials desired
- Possess strong project management skills
- Highly motivated / strong work ethic: Have a proven commitment to respond to and drive time sensitive / mission critical processes operating in a global and matrix-type organization
- Sound judgment to act autonomously and identify emerging issues and escalate them as required
- Lead M&A/strategic investments transactions at any point in the M&A deal lifecycle and support growth through M&A, joint ventures strategic partnerships and investment,
- Experience managing and transacting M&A deals strongly required
- Ability to critically analyze and process high volumes of information and adapt to changing demands all while managing priorities;
- Proven ability to manage priorities and maintain integrity in fast-paced challenging environment
- Strong credibility, candor and good ability to speak directly even when posing dissenting viewpoint
- Ability to be adaptable and manage competing responsibilities and deadlines

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**:

- Prior M&A or Corp development experience, a plus; Prior payments industry experience, a plus
- Knowledge of M&A related tools / databases (e.g., Pitchbook, Crunchbase, CapIQ, etc.) preferred

**ABOUT THE TEAM**

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. We’re proud to lead the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth and have the most-used digital solutions - all while ranking first in customer satisfaction.

The Strategy team manages mission-critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more.
