Parla is a spot to celebrate NY-style pizza and Italian-inspired cocktails from the team behind The Smith. Located in the Upper West Side, Parla is an all-day destination for lunch and dinner, with plans to serve baked goods at breakfast. The square and round pizzas are the anchors of the menu, along with house-made pasta, veggies, and shareable plates created by Executive Chef Brian Ellis. The bar specializes in espresso, wine, and cocktails using a curated selection of amari and vermouth.

**The Position**:Chef de Cuisine

The Chef de Cuisine oversees all culinary operations at Parla and inspires their team with their passion for hospitality, and love of Italian cuisine The Chef de Cuisine must also be committed to supporting an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct and maintain Corner Table Restaurants’ culinary vision.
- Oversee and direct all kitchen teams in daily operations including from scratch pizza and pasta making.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of staff and guests.
- Make all final hiring decisions for the back of house.
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies.
- Manage labor and kitchen waste.
- Train values and maintain the integrity of the culture.

**What Makes You Great**:

- You have 5+ years working as an Executive Sous Chef in high-volume restaurants.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in Italian cuisine, fresh pasta, pizza dough, sauces, etc.
- You exemplify the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
- You are highly confident in your abilities and are detail-oriented.
- You are a team player and have excellent communication skills.
- You genuinely get joy out of making people happy and can have fun while working.
- You have a love and passion for the hospitality industry.

- The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $110,000-$125,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, etc._
