We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team and elevate our menu offerings.

Position Summary:
As the Chef de Cuisine at Little Hen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operation, including menu development, food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision. Working closely with the General Manager, you will ensure that our culinary offerings consistently meet the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation. Your creative vision and leadership will drive innovation in our menu while maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the kitchen team to execute menu items with precision and consistency.
  • Develop and refine menu offerings to reflect seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and guest preferences.
  • Create and standardize recipes to ensure consistent quality and portion control.
  • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize food costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a fast paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Culinary creativity and a passion for exploring new ingredients, techniques, and cuisines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
