As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of inbound and outbound freight operations, with a focus on last mile delivery and parcel handling. You will oversee a team and ensure that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing last mile delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of parcels.
- Overseeing the handling, sorting, and distribution of inbound and outbound freight.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
- Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Analyzing performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proven track record of success in managing last mile delivery operations and handling inbound/outbound freight.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to freight transportation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
