Applicant **MUST possess/demonstrate**:

- Proficiency in behavioral health billing systems, EHR & software
- Strong knowledge of behavioral coding principles & guidelines
- Familiarity with mental health terms, policies & procedures
- Exceptional precision & attention to detail
- Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to work independently & as part of a team
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Google Docs

**Duties**:

- Review & verify accuracy of patient demographics & insurance info
- Check & verify benefits & eligibility
- Enter charges in billing system
- Assigning proper codes & modifiers to diagnoses & procedures
- Submit electronic claims in EHR system or by mail
- A/R follow-up on unpaid & denied claims
- Resolve billing discrepancies & insurance issues
- Effective client communication to resolve concerns & billing questions
- Manage patient records, billing & documentation in compliance with HIPPA
- Provide clinical staff support regarding billing
- Provide Superbills to patients for reimbursement
- Create monthly paid claim & denial reports

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
