The Stanford Center on Early Childhood, an initiative of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, seeks a full time Community Program Manager to join our team. The Community Program Manager will work under broad direction of SCEC Leadership to lead, implement, and administer a new fellowship for professionals working in community-based early childhood systems.

Note: This position is a 1-year fixed term appointment that may be renewed based on performance and funding. This position is eligible for a remote work agreement. **ABOUT US**

Housed at Stanford Graduate School of Education, the Stanford Accelerator for Learning (SAL) is a research hub that connects experts from the sciences, medicine, engineering, law, and humanities to expedite learning solutions for all learners. The first university-wide initiative to connect Stanford scholars across disciplines with external partners in the field, SAL bridges research, innovation, practice, and policy to achieve true system change. SAL is currently focused on six areas of research that show high need and high promise for transformational change. These areas include digital learning, early childhood education, learning differences, equity in learning, policy and systems change, and adult and workforce learning.

The Stanford Center on Early Childhood (SCEC) is an initiative of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning. The SCEC leverages the current moment of revolutionary science and fosters deep omnidirectional collaboration across sectors, seeking to change the way that research in early childhood is conducted, communicated, and utilized, with the overarching goal that each and every child thrives from the start.

The Community Program Manager will work under the supervision of the Stanford Center on Early Childhood Managing Director to implement the SCEC’s new Community Fellows Program. The Community Fellows Program seeks to provide professional development to professionals working in early childhood community programs, focused on the areas of research practice partnerships and data literacy. The Community Fellows Program will draw on data provided by the RAPID Survey Project as a primary source for fellowship projects. Specifically, the Community Fellows Program will provide mentorship and curriculum to support fellows in utilizing data and research partnerships to effect policy change in their community context.

The person in this role will act as a representative of the program and the SCEC in establishing authentic and collaborative engagement with community-based organizations, early childhood professionals, and academic faculty. The Community Program Manager will be responsible for working closely with SCEC Leadership to develop the initial curriculum for this program. The CPM will provide mentorship and guidance to Community Fellows in the areas of research, data, and methodology. The CPM will provide direct support for the Fellows’ research projects by working closely with them to produce relevant results from the RAPID data and develop a plan for effectively communicating and disseminating those results.

The CPM will be responsible for developing a strategy and plan to design, document, and launch the Community Fellowship. This will include coordinating with key collaborators to draft a project plan and timelines. After the launch of the Fellowship, this role will work closely with Fellows, SCEC Leadership, and Fellowship Faculty to ensure iterative and continuous improvement of the program.

The CPM will supervise a Senior Coordinator, who will be responsible for the logístical implementation and coordination of the program and will work closely with a number of consultants and vendors to implement the Fellows Program as well as the pilot programs.

**Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Lead and oversee development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of Community Fellows Program. Oversee analysis, reporting, and program improvements.
- Oversee the development, adherence to, and implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Lead strategic planning for the Community Fellows Program.
- Represent the program to the broader university, external community, and other stakeholders. Provide expert consultation related to program development and funding opportunities.
- Develop outreach strategy related to program communications, development, partnerships and fundraising/funding.
- Work with the SCEC Operations and Finance Director and Managing Director to develop and oversee strategic financial planning and sustainability for the Program, as needed; monitor performance and ensure appropriate controls.
