We are looking for a **Bilingual Chinese Construction Manager **to join our company to oversee multiple projects in the Southern California area. We have a solid pipeline of work for the foreseeable future. Here are a few responsibilities you would expect:
**Job Description**:
- Communicate with subcontractors on company expectations and quality control; Develop and maintain positive client and subcontractor relationships;
- Be on-site daily at custom residential building site to coordinate subcontractor and supplier schedules;
- Estimate job pricing including material and labor, and compare with estimates given from sub-contractors;
- Monitor and review contractors' work as it relates to budget, schedule and owner's program; Keep daily log reports of all site activity;
- Prepare construction updates for the development group and/or ownership;
- Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budget updates, change order reports;
- Control project documentation and historical data regarding construction;
- Manage subcontractor schedules and completion deadlines;
- Keep an organized control on multiple job sites and contractors' schedules;
- Receive city inspections and communicate with sub-contractors any city-issued corrections.
Basic Qualifications:
- Fluent in speaking English and Chinese (required)
- Proficiency in various types of construction software, Microsoft office, etc. (the company can provide relevant equipment and supplies);
- Five (5) or more years of general contractor or construction related experience with at least 2 years being in a Journey-man or residential construction management role in Los Angeles;
- Ability to read blueprints;
- Team leadership skills
