***: The Employment Readiness Coordinator is responsible for facilitating workforce preparedness workshops, coaching through regular feedback, serving as a role model for professional behavior, and supporting internship/externship opportunities that advance the employability of trainees in one of Hope Builders career pathway program. This individual works closely with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, support and engage program participants through various skill-building components that prepare them to meet the demands of today’s employers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Serve as a primary point of contact for trainees during the training component of the Hope Builders program model
- Mentor and coach program participants through the training program providing regular feedback and assessment (2-3 times each week) to trainees about their progress towards workforce readiness standards and participation
- Facilitate employment readiness classes in an interactive manner which promotes mastery of the concepts through participation
- Provide accurate and timely case notes in CRM
- Utilize, update and maintain the Workforce Readiness Tracker to coordinate and support a shared understanding of individual trainee progress weekly
- Additional duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service and presentation experience
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the talent development industry or job development field; Staffing experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills; Ability to self-start and multi-task; Must thrive on diverse assignments and deadlines
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to life-long learning and continuous improvement
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, humor, and an interest in Hope Builders’ mission
- AA degree or higher preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or recruitment field
- Must have a valid CA Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums
- Ability to life at least 30 pounds

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
