PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To provide training, mentoring, and supervision to all Supported Employment coordinators and employment training specialists (ETS). To ensure that all Supported Employment goals are to comply with all oversight, referring and funding agencies. Serves as a liaison for program participants, family members, referring counselors, case managers, residential programs and any other program participant support system, assuring optimal service.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports directly to the Program Manager II-SE.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Program coordinators and ETS’s.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates and completes all new hire onboarding paperwork/training, including the ETS/ Coordinator notebook training. Completes CPR/First Aid training certification for all SE staff. Familiar with all partner employers and their expectations. Understands program participant/staff job functions in order to be able to provide appropriate support/guidance to all staff and program participants. Completes written and verbal disciplinary actions when necessary in collaboration with SE Manager and the People and Culture department. Supervises coordination of all daily coverage completed by program coordinators. Coordinates and implements appropriate program participant crisis intervention. Maintains and assures the accurate completion of all program participant documentation which is reviewed/submitted by program coordinators. Coordinates and conducts interviews with all prospective program coordinator and ETS employees. Completes frequent site visits/community outreach to maintain ongoing communication with all program stakeholders. Completes PSR reports on all program coordinators. Notifies program manager immediately if any problems, concerns, or challenges occur with program participants, staff, care providers, families, funding sources, and/or employers; develops a plan of action to resolve the issue, concern, or challenge. Makes contact with local firms, government office related to employment and employment agencies. Assist in supervision/completion of all new hire 30/60/90 evaluations. Assist in supervision/completion of all yearly staff performance reviews. Participate as needed in any program/funding source audits. Participate in all appropriate staff meetings and organizes meetings at appropriate levels. Ensure the highest level of quality program services are being delivered to the program participants. Provide high-quality customer service to all program stakeholders. Maintains program statistics with assistance of Quality Assurance coordinator and ensure all program objectives are met to remain in compliance with all standards. Maintains program participant files and information pertaining to all Supported Employment and Direct Placement services in compliance with CARF/DOR/RCOC standards. Participates in quarterly program quality assurance reviews. Completes thorough reports on program objectives (i.e. revenue, budget, expenses, paperwork, etc.). Works closely with school districts and other agencies in transitioning students into Supported Employment program. Participates in recruitment, screening and acceptance or denial of all program participant referrals. Assists business developer in development of new work sites for Supported Employment. Works overtime as required. Drives on company business as required. Performs other job-related duties as required. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property. Acts safely at all times, following all safety rules and regulations. Follows all company policies and procedures. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed. Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness. Works with, trains, and/or acts as a good example for program participants/staff. Familiar with the employment trends of the area served, types of jobs available, wages paid and hiring policies.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, e.g., human services, social work, or equivalent experience. Prior supervisory experience highly preferred. Must be twenty-one years of age. High School diploma or GED required. Two years’ experience working with a variety of people with many different types of barriers/disabilities preferred. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to accept responsibility, take initiative, problem-solve, and exercise good judgment. Ability to use good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in handling interruptions and variations. Ability to train, work with, and act as a good example to program participants receiving training at Goodwill. Ability to write accurate, concise, grammatically correct letters, memos, proposals, reports, etc. Familiar with disabilities. Professional appearance or as appropriate for the work environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with program participants and staff information. Must have quick and reliable transportation to drive on company business. Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance, and a DMV record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company if driving on company time. Ability to travel on company business. Possess analytical skills, including deductive reasoning. Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages. Ability to train staff and conduct presentations. Ability to use a computer proficiently including Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees and program participants.
