Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Employment Services, perform all duties as described in the Director of Community Placement job description. Assure implementation and continuance of services in compliance with departmental procedures, agency policies, and other regulatory, licensing, and accrediting agencies. Work with job coaches, DRS/ORS, and businesses, in development of customized employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Develop daily schedules for observation and job coaching. Will follow Rule 50, Dept. of Human Services Rule 115, Rule 116, Rule 119, Rule 120, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.

- Manage all responsibilities based on the agency mission, using individual choice and al appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations.
- To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.

Assistance to the Senior Director of Employment Services
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist in tracking and reporting demographics, outcomes, and strategic goals for United Way, 377 Board, and all other grants.

Staff Supervision
- In conjunction with the HR department, interview, hire, supervise, assign, evaluate the performance of, and when necessary, discharge assigned personnel directly and in cooperation with appropriate department heads.
- Provide tours, orientation, and introductions to new staff assigned to area of responsibility.
- Provide training to staff assigned to area, including but not limited to; OJT (on the job training) and if needed CBTA (competency-based training assessment).
- Mentor new staff and existing staff to assure proper implementation of programs, personal assistance and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
- Implement coaching strategies (prompts, role model, support) when training/retraining staff assigned responsibility.
- As needed, make recommendations for staff training and refresher classes.
- As needed, aid in discipline procedure.

Program/Department Development and Coordination
- Coordinate the assessment, job development, job retention, follow-up and extended services for individuals assigned to the program.
- Identify individuals support needs, develop individual goals and objectives, and coordinate services as individual on the service plan.
- Assist support services personnel in implementing individual programs and services.
- Forward requests for Supported and Customized employment services and forward to Customized Employment Specialist
- Coordinate all procedures according to DHS/DRS requirements including placement plans, ongoing progress notes, meetings, staffings, monthly billing reports, and placement reports.
- Coordinate and networking with community employers to develop appropriate employment matches, utilizing strategies required making certain a good job match occurs and is maintained.
- Coordinate the forming and execution of new trial work assessment sites, as clientele require.
- Assist in developing training materials including task analyses and instructional guides.
- When necessary, assist with consumer training and job coaching.
- Assure CQL recommendations are being implemented in the program area.
- Assure staff is role modeling, supporting individuals in the workforce and not doing the work for the individual.
- Assure staff is instructing, training, assessing, aiding, supporting and supervising individuals in assigned area.
- Assure staff supervises lunch, break periods, arrivals and departures, and other areas as assigned.
- Utilize job/task analyses and/or behavior management techniques when applicable to train individuals on assigned tasks.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as requested.
- Promote positive relationships with businesses in the community.
- As applicable, set-up transportation to persons served.
- Provide natural learning opportunities, encouraging the person to be as independent as possible, at work, and during recreation or leisure activities.
- Participate in departmental and agency in-service training, conferences, seminars, and continuing education programs to update knowledge and skills required for the position.
- Attend and participate in community committees which assist EPC and individuals with disabilities maintaining and achieving work opportunities.

Fiscal Management
- Document contacts made for possible contract work and possible employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Documentation consists of date, time, person contacted, outcome and date thank you notes were sent. Provide information to designated staff as requested.
