Founded in 1902 as a Settlement House to help New York’s increasing immigrant population adjust to life in a new country, Greenwich House today offers a variety of programs and approaches that continue to provide thousands of New Yorkers with health and wellness supports, education and personal enrichment, and skills building and cultural experiences.
**Position Summary**:
Teach voice lessons (beginner to advanced) for children and adults of all ages, approximately 4-6 hours per day, on certain days of the week, depending on scheduling. Pay rate for the position is $48 per hour, and paid every two weeks via payroll system. Position begins with a school meeting on September 3, 2024, with lessons and classes starting the week of September 9, 2024.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Instruction and management of voice private lessons for all of your studio
- Set goals for student and communicate them to student and /or parent
- Attendance and participation for various staff meetings and/or professional development opportunities
- Exude a positive attitude and be open to ideas of innovation and collaboration
- Keep Director informed of progress and problems
- Attend student recitals as needed
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Music in Voice Performance
- Must have three or more years’ experience teaching young children
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Professional integrity and a strong sense of moral and ethical standards
**Vaccination Requirement**:
