Job Summary:
Great opportunity to earn some extra cash in the evening.

We are a one room surgery center looking for a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to sterilize surgical instruments and get OR ready for the next day, meaning terminally clean and move equipment (OR bed/Carm/etc).

Usual shift will begin in the evening to sterilize the days' instruments and prepare for the next day. Shifts are usually 3-5 hours, 3-4 days a week.

As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the processing and sterilization of medical equipment. Your expertise in aseptic technique and sterile processing will be essential in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our medical procedures.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and assemble medical equipment and supplies for sterilization
- Operate sterilization equipment following established protocols and guidelines
- Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Inspect and test sterilized equipment for functionality and quality assurance
- Maintain accurate records of all processed items
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterile equipment
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent contamination during the processing of medical instruments
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance as needed

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Sterile Processing Technician Certification
- Proven experience as a Process Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting
- In-depth knowledge of aseptic technique, medical terminology, and sterile processing procedures
- Familiarity with various types of sterilization equipment (e.g., autoclaves)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
