We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the operational compliance with federal and state rules and regulations surrounding pharmacy practice and tactical implementation of pharmacy initiatives in coordination with the Director of Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other support staff who provide patient care or supportive services for respective areas of oversight.
- Partner with site nursing, medical, and administration leaders to optimize patient care through pharmacy infusion services and ensure appropriate drug storage, preparation, and patient monitoring to meet the needs of patients.
- Assure that departmental services are in accordance with standards established by the medical staff and state, local, federal and all regulatory agencies.
- Dispense and monitor medication therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in a sterile processing pharmacy.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Working knowledge of New Jersey drug laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Master's degree or a Pharm.D.
- Board certification in Oncology or Sterile Compounding.
Regular contact with medical personnel and its visitors.
