**Description**:
**This role is responsible for store and office repair issues that arise with equipment and facilities, during operational hours. The role will require the completion of in-store repairs, managing supplies, inventory control, and administration of repair resources.**

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- ** Develop & implement processes and procedures to facilitate the orderly intake & execution of repairs & maintenance.**:

- Record maintenance and repair work performed on food service equipment.
- Determine whether equipment repair or replacement is a better choice.
- Disassemble and reinstall existing cabinets, and shelving, or assemble and install prefabricated cabinets & shelving, trim in conjunction with food service equipment installation.
- Disassemble food service equipment so that problems can be diagnosed, and repairs can be made.
- Instruct store staff in the operation and care of appliances and provide information such as preventive maintenance and general repairs.
- Level refrigerators, adjust doors, and connect water lines to water pipes for ice makers and water dispensers, using hand tools.
- Maintain stocks of parts used in on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of food service equipment.
- Observe and examine food service equipment during operation to detect specific malfunctions such as loose parts or leaking fluid.
- Observe and test the operation of appliances following installation and make any initial installation adjustments that are necessary.
- Reassemble units after repairs are made, making adjustments and cleaning and lubricating parts as needed.
- Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides to diagnose and repair problems.
- Replace worn and defective parts such as switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards, or defective wiring.
- Set appliance thermostats and check to ensure that they are functioning properly.
- Assemble new or refurbished food service equipment.
- Take measurements to determine if appliances will fit in installation locations, and perform minor carpentry work when necessary.
- Repair or paint walls as necessary.
- Talk to store staff or refer to work orders to establish the nature of food service equipment malfunctions.
- Vendor relations

- Taking notes in meetings
- Assign to-dos
- Work with the Director of Development to accomplish goals.
- Maintain work van.
- Supervise and mentor Repair Assistant
- Other duties as assigned.

**Expectations**:

- ** Full-Time**:

- Travel-based
- $45,000/ base salary with growth opportunities
- Training will include on-the-job training and classes that may involve travel.
- Example: Simonelli training

**Qualifications**

**Must have a high school diploma or GED. Current and valid drivers license. Technical/Specialty degree or certificate in small appliance/machinery repair preferred. Certification in food service equipment repair is helpful. Training/certifications in working with coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) is helpful. HVAC and refrigeration training experience is preferred.**

**1+ years of prior food service equipment and/or appliance repair is helpful. Specific experience with coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) is helpful.**

**Experience with a variety of hand and power tools, including circular saw, nail gun, drill, and similar is essential.**

**Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ticket management software. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and hold problem-solving skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.**
