Damien High School seeks a Director of Debate for the 2024-25 school year. Damien High School has a long-standing tradition of excellence in Policy Debate with teams competing annually in local and national tournaments. In addition to coaching, the Director of Debate will teach 3-4 sections of Introductory and Advanced Debate courses during the school year.

- Possess excellent organizational skills in maintaining the Debate program budget and coordinating the annual Damien Debate Invitational.

Job Responsibilities:

- Coach daily after school, providing guidance and mentorship to students in the Debate program.
- Travel and oversee student participation in tournaments, which generally includes overnight travel once a month to maintain a competitive program.
- Provide administrative support for the program, including coordinating practice schedules, tournament registration, travel planning, and student billing.
- Oversee and train assistant coaches to ensure the continued success and growth of the program.

**Salary**: $46,021-$80,000; DOE

**Qualifications**: Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Communication, or a related field; teaching and debate coaching experience preferred.
