**EXCELLENT BENEFITS PACKAGE**
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
**Promotion**: Trainees work under close supervision while acquiring the necessary skills and experience to qualify for Staff Training Instructor and must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.
**Travel**:Travel throughout the County is required and employees will be required to make provisions for transportation (mileage reimbursement is available at current IRS rates). At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained by the individual providing the transportation.
**Background**:Prior to appointment, applicants will be fingerprinted and must pass an extensive background investigation that may include a polygraph. Applicants must** **not have been convicted of a felony.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in English, education, business/public administration, communication, organizational development, criminal justice, computer science, natural science, or social/behavioral science. _A list of completed college coursework or copy of legible transcripts MUST be provided if the applicant does not possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the qualifying fields listed above._
**-AND-**
**Experience**: Two (2) years full-time equivalent professional-level OR supervisory experience in law enforcement or social service environment **-AND-** One (1) year of experience conducting formal or informal training and mentoring for adult learners on a regular basis.
**NOTE**:On the job training is not considered qualifying
