**Duties**:Provide a variety of routine and complex clerical, administrative and technical work in the administration of the city/county government.

**Qualifications**: High school degree. Associate’s degree in business or secretarial science preferred. Experience working in an office environment performing responsible secretarial and clerical support work. Experience taking and transcribing dictation, as used in preparing minutes of meetings, is required. Experience composing correspondence is also required. Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Must pass background check and drug testing.

**Essential Functions**:

- Coordinates office operations;
- Develops and maintains office forms & procedures;
- Assists with administrative tasks and provides backup to related positions;
- Receives and answers inquires from employees and the public & refers to appropriate resources as necessary;
- Processes mail and work orders;
- Prepares correspondence, reports, memos, and other materials with accuracy & completeness

Pay: $32,694.00 - $39,168.00 per year

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)
