The Annual Fund and Development Communications Manager at the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) is a critical member of the fundraising team and works to champion the organization's mission to lead people toward a lifelong engagement with music by providing widely accessible resources for high quality music teaching, performing, and service activities -- and harnessing the power of music to educate, inspire and bring comfort to the communities we serve.

**Required education and experience**

BA or equivalent

2+ years of professional experience in a development department or related field

Experience working with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Ability to work after hours and weekends on occasion

Interest in music and the Music Institute's mission

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master's degree in nonprofit/arts administration or related field
- Membership in professional Development groups such as Association of Fundraising Professionals, and others.

U.S. Work Authorization is required.
