**Primary Accountabilities**

The Strategic Advisor is the cornerstone of the mentorship program for each subsidiary of Prairie Band, LLC Federal Construction Division. The incumbent will be the senior leader in the Construction Division, and will serve as a critical role model, a proven problem-solver, and an accomplished leader.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Oversees all aspects of the federal contracting construction projects from start to finish.
- Ensures compliance with all federal regulations and guidelines.
- Assigns appropriate companies and teams to each project.
- Leads high-performing teams and is responsible for achieving continuous, measurable improvement of staff's interpersonal, professional and technical skills.
- Recognizes construction process anomalies, intervenes and assists teams when necessary.
- Monitors company profitability and schedule; influencing changes that improve bottom line performance, brand reputation, and client experience.
- Will be a substantial resource of technical, strategic and procedural insight to assist in recruiting construction professionals to the company and developing teams in a scalable fashion.
- Responsible for all construction project cost, forecasts, schedule, and performance and, over time, will own all construction related policies/practices/procedures (i.e., AR/AP support, client billing policies, project management manuals, software tools, employee training and certifications, and related matters critical to repeatable and profitable construction operations.)

**Requirements**:
**Requirements & Preferred Attributes**
- Minimum 15 years' proven experience working on federal construction projects and at least 10 years of performing the function of project manager, or equivalent.
- Must have 10+ years working with Tribal or Alaskan 8(a) construction operations in direct award projects.
- Minimum 4 years of post-graduate education (journeyman, trade school, college, etc.).
- Must have held a lead role in managing projects greater than $35MM.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, any online estimating software and any proprietary accounting software programs.
- Must have 10+ years’ experience in leadership positions in your professional (association, otherwise), personal, or civic roles. Incumbent must have excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with a history of leading, motivating, and developing teams.
- Proven record of managing large-scale construction projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices.
- Have significant expertise in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with other executives from other disciplines.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Have significant expertise in construction accounting/forecasting, including profit/loss responsibility experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and clients.
