**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
Summary:
The Professional Development Associate serves as a resource for planning, coordinating, and facilitating continuing professional development and clinical education throughout Bayhealth. Provides structural and logístical support for nursing orientation, nurse residency program, and nursing shared governance structure as well as Patient Care Services rewards and recognition. The incumbent also leads special projects related to Nursing Professional Development at Bayhealth.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
1. Collaborates with various departments and the Director to establish the annual schedule of classes to ensure effective, timely classes (includes securing rooms/resources as well as technical support)
2. Collaborates with the professional development team to coordinate and produce classes for live, online, and blended learning sessions including logistics, instructional design, and adult learning theory.
3. Creation of class materials as requested by the professional development team.
4. Coordinates orientation experiences for new hires of Patient Care Services.
5. Leads special projects that require research, analysis, and execution.
6. Coordinates and supports ongoing nursing professional development initiatives such as shared governance council activities, awards and recognition, and other organizational educational events.
7. Directs data collection and evaluation/assessment of professional development activities. Analyzes and prepares reports for the Director related to these activities.
8. Supervises day-to-day office operations including ordering of supplies, accounting of budget, and scheduling.
9. Exemplifies strong interpersonal skills that enables and maintains professional and productive relationships with a wide variety of individuals.
10. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities

**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL**:

- Education Bachelor Degree

**EXPERIENCE:
Required: Skilled in the use of technology. Two (2) years of related work experience

Preferred: Experience working with nursing professional development or education departments Experience managing small and medium projects Four (4) years of related work experience
