ROLE SUMMARY

At Integrated Media Systems in Ashburn, VA, we are seeking an Audio Video Technician who will be responsible for installing low-voltage systems in both residential and commercial projects.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Comprehensive knowledge of the pre-wire, trim, and final phases of projects, utilizing all associated tools effectively.
- Must own all essential tools
- Capable of interpreting and implementing device layout drawings, engineered schematics, and construction blueprints specific to the A/V industry.
- Advanced understanding of Ethernet network system setup, encompassing modems, routers, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Skilled in terminating various cables including phone, data, speakers, control, signal, and fiber optics.
- Expertise in wire differentiation, connectors, splicing, connections, and head-end termination.
- Demonstrates exceptional wire management and dressing skills, particularly crucial for our construction projects.
- Proficient in mounting video displays and projectors, along with installing, setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting multi-room audio systems.
- Understanding of wiring requirements for sub-systems like HVAC and security systems, integration into control systems, and unsupervised setup of thermostats.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably possess Manufacturer/Industry training from Savant, Lutron, Crestron, URC, Control4 and CEDIA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Custom Residential AV, highly preferred.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a background check for DCJS License.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
