**Salary Range**: $21.00 - $25/hour

The Boat Shop Technician reports to the QED Small Craft Program Manager in the repair of U.S. Navy small boats at the QED shop facility. The scope of small boat repair includes engine replacements, electrical repairs, and electronic upgrades. The Boat Shop Technician works with the Purchasing Department to order parts needed to accomplish work under Navy Contracts and provides input to the Small Craft Program Manager for weekly progress reports. The Boat Shop Technician troubleshoots inoperative boat systems and conducts operational tests on the blocks and in the water.

**Job Requirements/Skill Sets**:
***Education Requirements**:Individual shall have a high school diploma/GED

***Security Clearance**/Naval Facility Access**: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible for and be able to maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Must be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
