**POSITION DUTIES**:
The main purpose for this position is the responsibility for investigations of allegations of professional misconduct, fraud, violation of the standard of care or incompetence. Duties involve case management, studies, and analysis prior to submission to the Board's Disciplinary Review Committee (DRC), conducting investigative research, obtaining statements and evidence, and preparing written reports of investigations.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
Experience: Six years of experience conducting criminal investigations, including the preparation of analyses and reports for use in legal proceedings.

Notes:
**DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience preparing clear and concise reports of completed investigations
- Experience testifying before various Boards at formal and informal hearings
- Experience preparing subpoenas for obtaining physical or documentary evidence
- Experience providing case preparation for assistance to the Attorney General’s Office
- Experience maintaining confidentiality of evidence such as medical records, x-rays, photographs etc.; and maintaining records of investigations

**LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS**:
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Employees in this classification may be required to have daily use of a motor vehicle while on official State business. Standard mileage allowance will be paid for use of a privately owned vehicle.
