**Job Summary**:

- St. Vincent de Paul’s Neighborhood Brigade provides a dignified work experience for individuals living in our interim housing communities who are interested in taking a first step to enter/re-enter the workforce. The Neighborhood Brigade Supervisor will provide supervision, support and skills coaching to Crew Members as they work on neighborhood beautification projects, food service, and other approved projects that support the daily operations of our interim housing communities. The Neighborhood Brigade Supervisor’s role includes overseeing and coordinating the Crew Member’s job duties, as well as developing supportive relationships with Crew Members and encouraging them to connect to resources, Case Managers, and Navigators that will help them end their homelessness. With support and approval from the Program Manager, the Neighborhood Brigade Supervisor will also plan and coordinate workplace and life-tools trainings for our Crew Members, in order to enhance their workplace skills.

**Specific Duties**:

- Recruits Crew Members among interim housing clientele.
- Supports Crew Members thought the pre-employment process by helping them complete an HR Cloud profile, complete a background check, and takes them for their drug screen, if available.
- Helps Crew Members complete their onboarding paperwork through their HR Cloud profile.
- Works closely with Human Resources personnel to ensure that all onboarding items are complete in a timely manner.
- Conducts Neighborhood Brigade Intakes and documents clearly and professionally.
- Ensure that complete and accurate electronic records of guest intakes and exits are generated within 24 hours of interaction using the HMIS database.
- Coordinates and supervises neighborhood beautification projects and litter pickups.
- Coordinates and supervises Kitchen Crew Members with support from the Chef and Sous Chef.
- Promotes good relationships between SVDP, neighborhood residents and businesses.
- Documents program activities and tracks Crew Member work hours.
- Approves Crew Member timecards in a timely manner.
- Monitors, maintains, and distributes inventory of work crew supplies.
- Communicates concerns and successes appropriately to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Supports Program Manager with monthly, quarterly, and yearly grant reporting.
- Supports Program Manager with developing Crew Member trainings and life-tools/ workforce classes.
- All other duties as identified by the Workforce Supervisor
- Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP’s Culture of Philanthropy, and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated *

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent communication, organization skills, and ability to interact with guests, staff, and volunteers required.
- Strong computer skill, proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs, experience in HMIS, and excellent electronic communication and documentation abilities preferred.
- This position may require transportation of clients to connect with services. Driver’s license and 39-month motor vehicle record will be required.
- Ability to report to more than one work site is required.
- Caring and friendly attitude toward program participants required.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant experience working or volunteering with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred.
- Relevant experience in a supervisory/ leadership role, including team lead, is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Abilities to walk and be on feet for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, sit, bend, and twist to transfer objects, and reach are required for this position.
- Ability to work outdoors for a few hours at a time
