POSITION: Volunteer Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Senior Event Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opening for a Volunteer Coordination for CONMEBOL Copa America 2024. The Volunteer Coordinator will provide direct assistance for the duration of the Copa America 2024 event at State Farm Stadium.

Essential

**Responsibilities**:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Provide direct assistance to the Event Services department
- Directly monitor and support all volunteer movement during the event
- Assist other departments with event day projects
- Provide assistance in ensuring requests of the Lessee and requirements of their contracts are met while adhering to City of Glendale and stadium policies and procedures
- Plan and organize facility set up, on site assistance to staff and client during events
- Creation and placement of event signage for event
- Other duties as assigned

LENGTH OF POSITION: This position will be for the duration of the Copa America 2024 event at State Farm Stadium. Event dates of June 28th, June 20th, and July 6th. The position will also work one prep day prior to the event days for event planning. Following the conclusion of the event on July 6th this position will conclude.

Education and/or Experience
- Ability to make good decisions under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills are a must
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communications skills

Skills and Abilities
- Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility (requires personal mobility), lifting, carrying, moving, working from various heights, and moderate to loud noises
- Operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software
- Operate portable radio and standard office equipment including copier and printing plotter
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
- Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment
- Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, the individual should have some computer skills.
