**Summary of Position**

**Bidding Process - **Summary of Position**
- Solicit, prepare, and maintain conceptual bids/budgets and hard bid proposals for retail projects.
- Review program and project requirements thoroughly prior to beginning bid.
- Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors.
- Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline.

**Project Knowledge**
- Develop RFIs and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage.
- Perform a comprehensive “bid day” analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades.
- Create bid lists that fit scope of job, ensuring that the right subs for the project are secured.

**Project Turnover**
- Properly turn over bid documents and sub-buyout information to project managers in a timely manner.
- Review drawings and job costing with Project Management team and highlight areas of concern.
- Complete project kick-off form to ensure compliance with all requirements.

**Subcontractor Award**
- Award subs in a timely manner to ensure release of materials.
- Seek and qualify new subcontractors.
- Hold subcontractors to CDO Service standards.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Must be self-motivated and punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Possesses excellent follow-up skills, both internally and externally
- Review job analysis for costs and profitability
- Assist in creating, organizing and maintaining vendors and subcontractor lists.
- Conduct hand-off meetings with production personnel to review scope of work and project necessities.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- 2-4 years’ experience doing construction bidding for retail and commercial projects.
- Understand how to fit subs to the size/scope of project.
- Must have retail and commercial construction estimating experience.
- Highly proficient with MS Office software, particularly Excel; **experience using **BuildingConnected**.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude to be detail-oriented in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and simultaneous deadlines.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
