Job Description and Duties

The California State Lottery, Human Resources Division, is seeking an experienced CEA and Exempt Coordinator, to manage all aspects of the Lottery CEA and Exempt Program. Areas of focus include CEA concept development, upkeep, and delegated authority management; Exempt position control, establishment, salary requests, recruitment and on boarding coordination; and CEA examination development, administration, and recruitment. If you have experience drafting CEA concepts, working closely with Executive Staff to document policy areas in support of CEA concepts, creating and administering CEA examinations, and/or familiarity with Exempt positions, please apply This specialist position provides a unique opportunity to manage a critical function, liason with members of the Executive Team, and build strong relationships organization wide.

This position is headquartered at the Lottery Headquarters in Sacramento and is eligible for either a remote-based or office-based telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as needed. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires employee residence in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

Working Conditions

Schedule: Standard 40 hour work week

Travel: Occasional overnight travel or same day travel may be required

Other: In-office work in an office environment with controlled temperature levels and artificial lighting
