**Responsibilities**
- Prepare reagents and media according to standard specifications, including pH adjustment, hormone, and antibiotic concentrations.
- Prepare and maintain stock solutions for media preparation, ensuring that proper labeling, storage, and disposal procedures are followed.
- Adhere to good laboratory practices and maintain sterile technique throughout all preparation processes.
- Modify existing protocols to meet the researcher’s requirements and troubleshoot new media formulations in cooperation with the research team.
- Manage time and tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality work and assisting in the writing and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Order raw materials and maintain inventory levels to support ongoing research activities.
- Perform quality control checks on new raw materials and set up and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Collaborate with lab members to assist with other duties across teams to support research objectives as required.
- Be available in our lab during normal hours of operation (Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm).

**Requirements**:
**Desired Qualifications**:

- Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in fundamental laboratory techniques, particularly in wet bench lab work, and strong sterile techniques.
- Ability to work under the laminar airflow hood for extended periods.
- Proficient in both independent work and teamwork, demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot new media formulations in cooperation with researchers.

**Benefits**

The US base salary range for this position is $67,000 - $75,000 + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
